Dear all,

Please see attached the shared notes and the public chat from the last
working group meeting on Tuesday regarding the resource repository creation.

As discussed, request everyone to either send a mail to Ranjani or
respond to this mail list with the details of the resources that
you/your organization would be able to contribute. We will soon create
the repository on MediaWiki platform and share the link.

The next meeting is scheduled on Tuesday, 14th September to take the
discussions forward. Please block your calendars for the same.

Thanks & Regards,
Anusha

[16:51] To invite someone to the meeting, send them this link: https://b3.teacher-network.in/b/gur-g94-hyn
[17:00] arun: Glad to see you here Anu
[17:01] ramanujam: welcome to you too ranjani
[17:01] Ranjani: Thank you !
[17:02] Anu, Sittilingi.: Thank you! Glad to meet all of you!
[17:03] Deepika: Hello all. I am joining back. Not able to connect to audio
[17:03] Rajaram - Asha: Oh OK
[17:03] Rajaram - Asha: I thought I can turn on the mic.
[17:04] Rajaram - Asha: I will sign out and sign back in.
[17:12] Brinda: How do we plan to have these in multiple languages?
[17:12] Ranjani: Yes Brinda - we need to look at ways of co-creating in other languages
[17:14] Deepika: Quest can contribute to self learning content in Hindi
[17:22] Ranjani: That is wonderful Deepika - we will reach out for that
[17:29] Deepika: How are we planning to share about this repository with teachers and learners
[17:34] Akila: how about level wise distribution of resourses where a teacher can choose what she wants as per her class needs.
[17:36] Deepika: Thanks. For all these strategies we need to be well connected to SCERT and DIETS. Agree to Rajani's point no forefronting skills
[17:38] Deepika: Thr must be teacher training programs that States might be also planning as the schos reopen. We could also think of collaborating for the workshops and sharing these resources along with the intent for these resources.
[17:39] Ranjani: We need demonstrations
[17:39] Ranjani: Not simply lesson plans
[17:45] Guru: State Level social mobilization group to do advocacy and mobilization... At state level
[17:45] Guru: While this group is pan India
[17:46] Guru: Maha jharkhandd we have begun with such state level activities
[17:46] Ranjani: A symposium is a good idea
[17:46] Guru: Tn we should
[17:48] arun: 100% agree on re - looking at the curriculum. How do we initiate such a thing?
[17:49] arun: @Ramanujam@ Rajaram and anyone else in TN can we try and meet the Education minister and Education secretary etc to see if something like this can be initiated?
[17:50] Ria Banerjee: Guiding principles are very much needed. I am Ria. I am quite new to this discussion. In Vikramshila, we are developing worksheets for children in the age group of 6-8 years, keeping in mind they have missed out 2 yesrs of schooling. The immediate response is to prioritize some learning outcomes. It contains key concepts and skills of pre school education- pre number skills , phonological awareness, picture talk, some letter introduction etc. Social emotional learning also is emhapsized. We are field testing these in our community learning centres and some project government schools in West Bengal. We would be glad to share our experiences and learning.
[17:50] arun: Poornima wants to speak..
[17:53] Guru: Right time to reimagine learning
[17:53] arun: With Dhiksha, many time the activities which been put up there very random and very very limited. Not very helpful.-Paripooranam
[17:54] Deepika: We want to influence the govt schools. Can we think of a way that what we are proposing, some part of it can be situated in govt portals, trainings. And the larger point that we are making could still be outside the system
[17:57] ramanujam: @arun i already asked the education commissioner for a meeting and he said they'd be interested, and would get back to us on it.
[17:58] arun: I completely agree with you Ranjani - Poornima
[17:59] Rajaram - Asha: One concern for me is that there is already enormous contents available on every conceivable topic with every conceivable pedagogy. I have always felt what is more important is ease of use. So collecting more contents in our repository - I am not sure how helpful that would be unless there is a structured way in which it can be used.
[17:59] arun: @Ramanujam.....that's great...we can perhaps form a group to meet him..
[17:59] Guru: Deepika we should have the conversation with the education department in some of the states including Jharkhand
[18:00] arun: @ Rajaram- Asha - so true - what you say
[18:01] Rajaram - Asha: I made this point and will keep reporting. I very sincerely feel if we do not remove the incentives for a teacher to fudge data, we will not be able to make any progress.
[18:02] Rajaram - Asha: *reporting - repeating
[18:05] Deepika: Sure Guru, we can have such a discussion with State functionaries.
[18:07] Guru: Rajaram fully echo with your mail, what you say
[18:09] Deepika: Ya, this helps for now.
[18:10] Guru: Deepika the MediaWiki platform will be able to hold materials from multiple sources, for different geographies.
[18:10] Guru: Organic and collaborative. Yes
[18:12] Guru: Though state level groups can also take initiative.. Since language and culture variations will be needed
[18:12] arun: I don't think we are talking about making more materials because this group has closely related to children, teachers and volunteers.representing the voices of children so i had a concrete suggestion if we make small booklets in the voices of children expressing their needs in a pedagogical manner to various adults including DEO's etc. Poornima
[18:13] arun: Line is really bad...i am signing off...unable to hear for the past 10 minutes. Line is really bad today...Sorry...arun and rest of the group
[18:13] Mythili: If we can start putting out short guidelines as well for the system at least with states where we have traction
[18:15] Guru: Vikram shila has materials to share
[18:16] Mythili: It will really help if we get organisations/individuals to volunteer to take forward compiling resources along the categories that have been shared or additional categories if these do not capture what you are doing, for example
[18:17] Deepika: Thanks everyone. This discussion was veryhelpful. Have to sign off now.
[18:19] Anu, Sittilingi.: My internet is very bad ..I might get cut off anytime now.
[18:20] Anu, Sittilingi.: It has been good meeting all of you and listening nto the thoughtful exchanges getting
[18:21] Guru: Can't hear
[18:21] ramanujam: great to "see" you anu
[18:23] Anu, Sittilingi.: Most of the materials and resources we have at Thulir are very contextual and are offline . We will be happy to share them but we have to scan/ digitize them first..
[18:24] Anu, Sittilingi.: Thanks, Ramanujam! Great to see
[18:24] Anu, Sittilingi.: you too!
[18:25] Rajaram - Asha: Good discussion! I have to sign out now.
[18:28] Guru: Existing materials sharing
[18:30] Guru: Tq all
